  1. if your backing a race horse and the odds are 3-2 its means you will be payed 1.5 to 1

  2. Any odds of "pays X to Y" can be read as "For a winning bet of Y, you'll be paid X".

    3 to 2 - a bet of $2 wins $3

    2 to 1 - a bet of $1 wins $2

  3. Your blackjack will be paid 50% more than just a winning hand.

  4. 1 1/2 times whatever you bet, 2/1 means two times whatever you bet,5/2 means 2 1/2 times whatever you bet, 7/2 means 3 1/2 times your bet and so one.

If your going to play blackjack stay away from the 6/5 payouts on blackjack, play only the 3/2 payouts.

  5. Great Question!  Lots of times people just start betting and have no idea what the rules are or what the odds are.  3-2 or 2-1 is your payout/odds.

Usually when you see that on a BJ table you will not be getting the true odds, but rather what the casino is willing to pay you.  Thus sometimes you should be getting 3-1 but instead will get 3-2.

The bigger the first number and the smaller the second number...the more money you will be paid and the harder it will be to win.  For instance 5-1.... this means that if you bet 1$ and win, you will get 5$ for winning your bet and your 1$ back because you did not lose.

if it were 2-3, you might bet 3$ to win 2$ in profit and your 3$ back that you bet.

    goodluck.

  6. 3-2 means if you win you are paid $3 for every $2 you bet, receiving back a total of $5.

2-1 means if you win you are paid $2 for every $1 you bet, receiving back a total of $3.

Simple enough, the second number is what you need to bet to win the first number, and their total is what you get back when you win.
