On Michigan State's admission stats their ACT Composite Midldle 50% was 23-27. What does that mean? Half people admitted got with a 23-27?

I got a 27, so what percent is that?

  1. it means that it's the average. Your score means that you are better than fifty percent of the people that took the test, right in the middle


  2. it means that 50% of the ppl admitted into the school had a 23-27 on the ACT

    its about an 85%

  3. It means that 25% got lower than 23 and 25% got higher than 27. And the 50% in the middle got between 23 and 27. Therefore, a 27 would fall exactly at 75%
