Question:

What does 'Enable special effects' do in Opera?

I couldn't find anything online that explained what it does, other than "enables special effects". I've not noticed a difference since disabling it, but I'd still like to know what it does.

Thanks!

  1. Opera has support for special effects, like opacity/transparency - but it seems that people aren't developing themes that take advantage of it. Just leave it on, it's no less stable... maybe one day it'll start amazing you by dancing around the screen or something =))

By the way, did you do a search for 'opera wiki drag n drop' on google? You can find lots of cool buttons to 'drag and drop' onto your menu bars/start bar, stuff like 'boss key' hide opera to taskbar, 'open in ie' 'open in ff' tiny menu button (click it and the menu/bookmarks bars disappear, you can have a drop down menu and use all your screen for browsing without going fullscreen). Hmmmm tons of goodies there.

    Have fun ;)
