What does 'G' on a golf club stand for?

On my new wedge it says 'G'. No clue what it stands for... please don't tell me it stands for golf.

    The gap wedge is a utility wedge that is in between a PW or pitching wedge and a sand wedge, SW. It should also give you the loft so you can see for yourself.

    LW is a lob wedge and has more loft than a sand wedge. The lob wedge is harder to handle because of the amount of loft it has.

    So if you lie about 70 to 80 yards out, break out the G.
