What does 'SI' on a golf scorecard mean?

eg. on each hole it'll give the details - YARDS -275, PAR 4, SI 11. SI?

  1. Stroke Index.

    In matchplay or stableford competitions these are the ranking of difficulty of holes.  If your handicap was 10, you get one shot on holes with S.I. 1-10.

  3. Your scorecards are different from any that I have encountered in the past 20 years. Most indicate the hole number, yardages from the various markers, mens handicap, spaces for names, Par , More spaces for names or bets and at the bottom, ladies par for the hole. Handicap covers your SI.
