On ancestry, i clicked on someone, and their relation to the head of house is 'S;w'

What does that mean?

  1. It's possibly a transcription error - there are lots of them on Ancestry...

    Is it on the actual image or is a transcription?

    For instance I found an ancestor in a census on Ancestry whose occupation was transcribed as "Olkin Cradermonstyn" - I couldn't even begin to guess what that was!!

    You don't say what s*x the person is - but could it be an abbreviation for sister in law or sister??
