  1. A developmental task is one, which is in line with the current state of developmental functioning of a child.


  2. It's what someone should be doing during a certain age bracket.

  3. feeding yourself, brushing your own teeth, dressing yourself, using a fork, proper hygiene, etc.

  4. Developmental tasks are the developmentally appropriate tasks  a child should be doing at a given stage in life.  This may or may not match his/her chronological age, but rather the developmental age.
