What does 'four years my senior' mean?

I'm reading to kill a mocking bird for college... and it keeps saying something like:

'four years my senior'

'two years my junior'

is that just mean four years older, two years younger?

  1. It means that the person is 4 years older than you.  Hope this helps..

  3. four years my senior means four years older

    two years my junior is two years younger
