What does 'including shipping" mean?

If you are purchasing something online that says fro instance $30 including shipping, does it mean that you have to also pay shipping, or is it included in the price? Thanks.

  6. It should mean that the postage, packaging and costs to get the item to you is including in the price shown on the Internet. If not sure I usually add it to my checkout, proceed to checkout and see if they then ask for more money to ship it to me. If they do you can always decide not to buy it.

  8. I would tend to think that "including shipping" means that shipping is, er, included.  If shipping were extra, it would say "plus shipping" or "shipping extra".

  9. They charge you a certain amount for shipping, and that means the shipping is included in the price quoted.
