What does 3G mean???

I have a sprint phone and the 3G sign popped up at the top of my screen. Does that mean I have free internet? LOL? Is it costing me, because the internet was suppose to be blocked by my dad?

3G stands for "3rd Generation"  Basically its an improvement in speed for internet applications, networking and overall quality of the calls you make and receive.  As long as your not accessing the internet your not getting charged.
