  1. a 4X100 means that you would swim 100 yards of stroke (or whatever you are supposed to do during the 100s) 4 times. so it adds up to 400 yards, but there are breaks after each 100. it is the same for others just the distance changes

    hope that answers your question!

  2. Well i am not sure but i think you take 4x and divide it by 100x and put an x at the end of your answer.

  3. It's relay race. 4 people and every one swim 100m.

  4. oh i guess that you are new in swimming and that,s fine me to when first time i train i don,t know what,s coach is talking about.

4x100 mean that 100m you repeat it four time .

if your coach say 4x100m freestyle that mean there is a race 100m freestyle repeat for four times

  5. how many laps of 100 meters

  6. the 100 meters is the pool and you swim back and forth 4 times.

  7. In a practice it means you repeat 100 meters 4 times usually with a break in between each. It would work the same way with 2x200, swim 200 meters twice.

In a relay it means 4 people each swims 100 meters. There are no 12x100

    or 6x100 relays though.

  8. The front number means how many repeats you have of the number behind it. There is usually an interval or a cycle after each 100.

  9. You are talking about a swimming relay then it's a 4 person relay where they all swim 100 meters.

P.S. Did you watch the men's 4x100 freestyle relay at the Olympics Ha Ha France
