  1. I am sure you know different countries have different currencies (except the EEC countries which have the Euro). Americans use the US$ ( I can't believe I am explaining this!) so $7.8 USD is seven US dollars and 80 US cents (strangely enough). Presumably you know what currency you use in your own country, so you look up on the internet the Exchange rate between your country's currency and the US$. For example if you lived in England where we use GB pound ( and pence) the exchange rate is (roughly) two US$ to one GBP. So $7.80= about £3.90 (three pounds and ninety pence)
