  1. It would just give you some college units if you pass the AP test. You may have one less class to take, which means one less book to buy. It may even exempt you from taking the English Placement Test for Cal State if you passed that AP test. Anyways do well.

  2. AP classes look great on a college application.

some colleges will accept an AP class for credits but not always. this is good if your taking AP lit and plan on getting a math or science degree or somethig.

  3. You take AP classes to take a CLEP exam or AP Test at the end of the year. If you get enough points it will give you college credit for Literature.  Which will save you tuition, fees, and time.

  4. I can say that one of the few high school classes that actually made a difference to me in life was AP Lit.  To this day, I remember some of the books we read and the analysis of themes.  I am not being sarcastic - it was a great class.  Taught me how to appreciate a well-written book.  Can't say what it will do for you at CAL state (I seem to recall that I did get college credit for it, but you have to get a certain score on the AP exam), but take it for yourself.

  5. Different colleges do different things. Some will accept them for just credit some for the class itself. You need to do pretty well on the exam.
