  1. Al Gore just brought it into the forefront with his movie and his push to go green. He didn't invent Global Warming, its been around for a long long time. I do believe that humans are speeding up the "cycle" of GW. In 100 years we have used up millions of years worth of fossil fuels. Millions of years burned up in a little over 100. With all that being pumped into the atmosphere, along with the deforestation and raping of our resources, the earth has no way to fix itself. I believe we will be in trouble if we don't act soon.

  2. Very little.  He goes around telling people about the science, that's all.  It's just a way to get people started.

He's not MY leader, I listen to the scientists.

What the scientists say is that it's about 75-95% caused by us.

Gore's stuff is OK, but if you want the real truth, you need to look at what the scientists say directly.

Really good website for more information here:

    http://www.nrdc.org/globalWarming/f101.a...

  3. Al Gore is using it for political gain. He thinks that being as insignificant as he is it will make him more important. He is also making a fortune off of it. One volcano places more "greenhouse" gases in the air in one day than man has ever created. We should make laws restricting volcanoes. Ha ha.

  4. dogs cause it to.

  5. Al Gore doesn't have anything to do with anything.... he just wants his face out there! Global warming is a natural earth cycle, and whatever Gore has to say about it, is more than likely..... WRONG!

  6. Al Gore has made himself a lightning rod for the fascists. He isn't a scientist and didn't invent anything.

If he is trying to drum up troops to try to stop AGW, that's OK, but I'm not about to stake my future on it. Try as I may, I can't bring myself to believe the human race is responsible enough to change its ways before it has to. If we wait that long it will be too late. There is some evidence it may be too late already. If we do survive AGW, it will be in a world so transformed that we would not recognize it.

If someone wants to be cynical and say old Al is just using the environmental issues as a ploy to build a constituency for the next election, I have no evidence that would dispute it. Where was AGW during the 2000 election? He was just out there profit-taking like the rest of them when he could have made a difference. That makes me doubt his sincerity now.

The good thing I can say about him is

I read about Global Warming in school 40 and 50 years ago, before the school systems were trashed. Many younger people heard about it for the first time through his movie. He deserves a few points for that.

  7. Global warming is a natural cycle of the earth.  If the earth had not been warming for the past thousands of years, it would still be covered by glaciers.

Plus, Al Gore invented global warming I think...

  8. He made a movie on it and made it a emotional issue rather then a scientific issue. Plus he likes to blame humanity for the problems of the planet, and no doubt that is true, however he does not like to look at himself and realize he is a part of humanity. Now the the issue is clouded and emotionally charged and difficult to take seriously.  Climate change is real and a part of the natural order and cycle of our planet. The real issue is how do we as a people work together and  become aware of our environment.

  9. He created the idea that it is a danger to are existence. which is wrong. i know this becouse  Glenn beck wrote a book addressing that the earth core temperature has actually gone down in the past 10 years.

  10. man-made global warming refers to global warming caused by EXCESS usage of energy (as long as the energy is generated with fossil fuels), deforestation, desertification, construction of vast landscapes with concrete and tarmac, pollution of water (preventing algae from generating oxygen while using CO2), etcetera. Al Gore is just trying to make us aware of the problem, but that apparently is enough to provoke spastic criticism from a certain group of near schizophrenic, "conservative" hate mongers.

  11. He invented it for political gain. He also invented the internet. And we invaded Iraq because of what they did to us on 9/11.

  12. He used a naturally occurring event to his advantage.

  13. Global Warming is caused by volcanoes, animals and man alike. People like Al Gore do not bother to tell you that that the animals in the ocean help reduce greenhouse gasses as well as the soils and the trees, plants and grass.

Natural sources of carbon dioxide include rotting plant and animal matter, natural forest fires and volcanoes. The major human sources of CO2 are from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) and from deforestation.

Methane is created by the decay of organic matter. Large amounts come from landfills, cattle and the rest of the livestock sector.

Nitrous oxide is emitted by bacteria in soil.

So even if the world stops burning fossil fuels and becomes "greener", things will still effect global warming. Global Warming is a natural cycle and most scientists say we are between ice ages.

Al Gore is sounding the trumpet on Global Warming so he can get the carbon credit companies he has built , off the ground.

Global Warming is a huge moneymaker for these people. Back in the 80's lawmakers and such were sounding the horn on a shortage of fuel which brought up prices and contributed to the mess we are in now. By sounding the horn on things like this do nothing but make prices rise for the American people.

  14. Al Gore made a movie about global warming. Basically, hes like all the global warming believer's leader.

Maybe humans are the cause, I really don't know.

  15. His flatulence from all the extra ho-ho's he's been eating has caused a hole in the ozone, and shrinking polar icecaps

  16. i remember someone smarter than me saying that cow flatulence is a significan contributor....obviously not as much as the burning of fossil fuels, but surprisingly not too far off..
