  1. if they are from the Military who served in Europe they will know the differences.Unfortunately the majority seem to stay in America and are unable to form their own opinions.

  2. I see Europe as a whole continent. I see western European countries as generally more developed (well, except for Spain in terms of the Spaniards' attitudes/tolerance of others) than eastern European countries.

  3. They are aware of a perception that Europeans hate Americans. They are also aware that Europe can be a nice place to vacation. Other then that, Europe is Europe. Keep in mind, most/ or a great deal of Americans came from Europe/Briton, so it’s like asking grandkids what they think of there grandparents homeland.

  4. I think Europeans hate Americans.  They are overtaxed and don't have enough space to live.  They are too liberalised, especially when it comes to personal relationships.  Many people of European decent have been here in the US so many generations, but they still identify themselves by their ancestors nationalities, when in reality, they have no connection to the "old country" except for looks.  Still, it seems cool to take a vacation there, but I wouldn't want to live there.

  5. "Americans always speak about Europe as it is one country, how do you Americans see Europe?"

False! It's nice to see how people all over the world can be as ignorant as we Americans are often erroneously described as being.
