  1. umm all i know is it is a scientific equation

    O means oxygen

    C means carbon

    H2O is water

    ahh i give up

  2. Respiration - this is the basic formula for oxidising glucose to release energy that occurs within living cells which is known as respiration:-

However the formula isn't properly balanced; it should read:-

    C6H12O6 + 6O2 > 6CO2 + 6H2O + Energy

[Glucose + Oxygen > Carbon Dioxide + Water + Energy]

Photosynthesis is basically the same process in reverse, i.e.

Carbon Dioxide + Water + Energy (from sunlight) > Glucose + Oxygen

  3. It is a chemical equation showing an organic chemical  reacting with oxygen (which is to say burning) to make carbon dioxide and water while producing energy. But it isn't balanced because there are not the same number of Cs and Hs and Os (Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen) on both sides of the equation. It could be glucose as GLH (male 48 UK) said, if there is really an O6 missing from the C12H12 on the left. If C12H12 is correct, then it is some organic chemical like BETA-ETHYLNAPHTHALENE or whatever (see the source for possibilities), but some Os would have to be removed from the right side or some O2s added to the 6 already on the left side to balance it. In that case, it might be an attempt to show gasoline or other fuel burning. It is hard to say what was intended since the equation clearly has an error in it.

  4. One molecule of sugar plus 6 moleules of oxygen/gas produces/yields 6 molecules of water and energy/work/calories.It's the equation for aerobic respiration.

  5. PHOTOSENTHISIS!!
