  1. Well CAIR is a system created by Bates and Wintec Saddlery. Instead of traditional wool flocking in the panels of saddles, there is air which is said to distribute the riders weight more evenly. Sometimes they fit and work effectively whilst sometimes they don't. Unfortunately it all depends on the horses build. These saddles still need to be properly fitted to ensure a pain free back. So far they have a good reputation and I have ridden in plenty of saddles with CAIR and been comfortable. Hope it helps!
