  1. cc = cubic centimeter

yes, its the volume of all the combustion chambers in the engine. just like car engine sizes are measured in full liters (5.0L mustang, 3.2L audi, etc). Bikes are smaller in general, so it would be weird calling a 600cc engine a .6L engine.

a 600cc is more powerful because its over twice as big as a 250cc engine.

  2. Cant be the size of the combustion chamber,  cause increasing the stroke on the crank will increase the cc's also,  as well as boring out the cylinders and putting in bigger pistons. Gotta be the volume of the cylinder when then piston is fully down on its cycle, times the number of cylinders.  The bigger that space it the more fuel can be brought into the cylinder and the more fuel the bigger explosion therefor more power.

  3. more volume=More useable power under equal compression/ignition conditions...

  4. It depends on how much big the engines CC's and paynash is

  5. You are correct.  CC = Cubic centimeter

    >> So why is 250cc engine less powerful than 600cc?

Because bigger engine = more power.

    Good luck...

  6. Ermmmm, CC means cubic centimetre, sooo i gather that the more CC an engine has, the more space it has to carry out internal combustion..

im nottttt an expert lol, i just vaguely remember physics lessons.

  7. It is the volume of the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine in cubic centimeters. This is the metric  measurement. In the US it is measured in cubic inches, the more inches the more area! Hope this helps you out!

  8. cubic capacity

    Cubic capacity

The cubic capacity is a measure of engine size. Cubic capacity is the total volume

of the engine cylinders taken by piston movement (piston stroke). ...

  9. 1000 cc's make up 1 liter so when you see a car engine with a 3.0L engine, really, it's just 3000 cc's

    cubic centimeters
