For two months now, I've been seeing this complaint.

So what's the deal with him to people? What does CM Punk have to do to not look weak? Matter fact, why does he look weak in the first place to most of you fans out there? Does he have to be 6'4" and 260 lbs? Does he have to win every single match? What must happen?

  1. I like him as champ too. I thin he very well enough proved himself. He beat JBL clean at Summerslam. I think maybe he'll feud with a few other stars and retain his title, but I do think Randy Orton will come back and take it from him.

  2. I personally like the guy and wish him the best.

  3. he has to be entertaining with the belt. i want to want to see punk be good in WWE, but i dont like WWE punk. i know he can be entertaining cus he used to. all i want is for him to entertain with the title

  4. He has to defend his championship cleanly numerous times so people can see his real talent.

Hes already very talented though, I dont see why people need him to prove it.

  5. They did not bulid him up good enough. Think about it, what does wwe cater too. Little kids and what I notice about little kids is that they want to see the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER, hence why there faviorte wrestler is john cena( don't hate the guy) and they want to see batista or cena or hhh because they have been champion before, punk has never been champion. Also people think he is too small. HE is THE SAME WEIGHT AS CHRIS JERICHO. Well it is mainly people on the internet. Stipud reasons.

  6. The guy has talent, there is no doubting that.

But i cannot understand why he got such a big push, when there is other guys there who have been there a lot longer than him, and would make better Champions.

CM Punk was not main event material when he was on the circuit, he was Mid-card trash, he comes to the WWE and it takes him no time to become Champion, I'm not blaming him though, i blame WWE it really is going down hill, neither of its brands are worth watching now and days...

  7. Actually, I don't see why he IS a paper champion to fans.

But I'm guessing it's mostly based on size, similar to Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.

CM Punk is great IMO, great wrestler, decent on the mic and enough charisma to carry himself. He's also very over with the fans, this past week in his match against Jericho, man you should've heard the reaction to Punk, it was incredible.

I don't think it will change though, to the casual fans eye, you gotta be big and strong (ex. Triple H or Undertaker) or at least have a credible resume (ex. HBK or Edge) to be considered a credible champion. CM Punk is slightly new to the WWE so I could see why people call him that but you know that's just the way it is.

  8. I think CM Punk as Champion is a brilliant move by the WWE, as it's fresh and he's actually talented enough in every way to carry the strap. Unfortunately, there's just no satisfying some people.

These days, it seems like you have to be 6'4 and 280lbs to be champion as you said, or you need something that will satisfy everyone. Nobody seems to remember that WWE is catering for millions around the world, so not everyone is supposed to be happy anyway.

I think to shut some of the haters up, Punk needs to get more clean wins. He's already beat JBL cleanly, but a clean win over Batista (which I don't see happening) or Kane might get the crowd behind him a bit more. Punk also needs more mic time so he can prove that he's decent on the mic, and actually has a lot of charisma.

The only thing I can think of that might make Punk seem weak to some of his haters is that poor losing streak he had after WM24. Losses to Jericho, The Miz, Kane and other superstars that he should have beat cleanly slightly hurt Punk, but I don't see why people don't do more background checks on him before criticising him. There's more to wrestling than WWE. His Indy work is awesome.

People are too dellusional. If Edge got away with winning the title the way he did TWICE, then what's wrong with Punk taking Edge down the same way? I mean a face beat a heel, what's wrong with that? People just love to nit-pick.

    Good question...starred.

  9. I think people do find it hard to see him as a proper champion due to his size, although his technique does make up for this. For me I just feel like there are bigger people on Raw who could be champion and who have more presence than him so I'm not sure why he is the champion. Looking at Raw the way it is, it really does seem like  they just had him win the title so someone had a title on Raw and he can be replaced at any time. Thats why he is referred to as a paper champion, because it seems like he's just a stop gap in the storyline before they get a proper rivalry going.

  10. Dude your very serious and it really seems that your a big fan. My answers is I am contented on his overall style and music and he only looks like a paper champ because he wears a skeleton shirt, young and tights with stars. Theres a song called Puritania by Dimmu Borgir and it sounds stronger but the song is sort of similar compare to This Fire Burns and that's it I don't want CM PUNK to change.

  11. I HONESTLY LIKE THE GUY AND THINKS HE HAS A GREAT FUTURE COMING

  12. He needs to be 6'4" and 260 lbs. Seriously that is the problem, hes too small. I like the guy but hes just not World championship material.

  13. i like him

  14. I don't understand why people say that about him.  He takes on every challenge and he beats all of his opponents.  I like him and the people that say that have to be jealous or something.  I like him.

  15. I don't know. I guess many people are only exposed to WWE Programming on Monday and Friday and never go to House Shows and Live Events. If what I saw at Madison Square Garden on Saturday is any indication, then CM Punk has beaten John Bradshaw Layfield dozens of times in House Shows, three times on television and as far as I am concerned, has nothing more to prove in wrestling him. I stated this to other fans at the same show. CM Punk has also beaten Kane and Batista. I don't know how much more he has to prove. He beat John Bradshaw Layfield in a Steel Cage Match in Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday Night! He's a Fighting Champion.
