  1. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease/Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease

  2. Chronic Obstructive Pulmory Disease. It's a lung condition often caused my smoking (in the case of my dad). It restricts lung capacity and is connect to emphazema and other illnesses. Eventually the patient will need oxygen, critical care and will have restricted movement. It's a horrible condition to have.

  3. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

  4. Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease. This replaced the previous COAD, Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease.

  5. COPD is a description of  a group of lung diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema and bronchiectasis which causes air flow through the airways of the lungs to be reduced.( Restrictive lung disease such as pulmonary sarcoidosis reduces lung capacity/volume)  All COPD is not caused by smoking,  Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency-related (Alpha-1) emphysema is caused by an inherited deficiency of a protein called alpha -1 antitrypsin (AAT) or alpha-1 protease inhibitor. ie: asthma, and bronchitis although these diseases often occur together.

  6. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, often caused by smoking.

The airways are narrow obstructing the amount of air that can reach the lungs.

May require drugs (as steroids. antibiotics, decongestants).  Give oxygen if necessary.  An extreme case might need a tracheotomy and the use of a ventilator.

  7. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. It is a non reversible narrowing / damage of the airways and lungs causing shortness of breath, tight chest, wheezing and coughing. Smoking is the most common cause although not always the case.Typical treatment includes inhaled Ventolin and corticosteroids. Many people with advanced disease require home Oxygen x

  8. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. It's chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema.
