  1. It's free as part of the "Privacy at Home" package.  That's what you need to order.

  2. All the above are correct, BT will provide CLID (Calling Line ID) free of charge, as long as you make some calls on the line.

I also agree, get a unit that can store say 20 calls as well as show you the number currently ringing you.

One answer above is inaccurate, in that you cannot get a phone that shows you all numbers, even the withheld ones, nice as it would be this is just not something you can get or do. - BT or your service provider will only provide this sort of information to the police or court, and it's only generally done on nuisance calling.

As for this persons husband getting this at work - unless he works in network operations for a service provider or a certain government agency in London, he will not be able to see these numbers either.

  3. its free you just have to call bt up and have it put on to your account i did this for my mum last week as she wanted to know who was calling but make sure you have a phone that has a display allowing you to see the numbers as they ring and if you can get the one where it has a memory of 10 or so that way if your out you can view the last 10 people to ring you other  wise you will only get to see the last person that called you

  4. Nothing you just need a phone with a digital display. However, my phone will not display international phone numbers that have called or are calling. Nor will it display phone numbers from the UK when the caller has used number withold.

If you want a system which shows all calls no matter whether caller has used the withold facility, you will have to contact BT and have a specific phone put in that shows all calls, and callers. My husband used to work for a Company that had caller ID on all calls.

  5. Its completely free but if you don't make any calls within a certain period they will start charging you I think about £5 per quarter. This will not affect most people unless you use an Internet provider to make your calls and only have a BT line for broadband. This happened to me but they credited it after I explained that I had no idea about this rule!

  6. £1-75 per month ( caller display ) check the link below then click on 'managing your calls'
