I love Panic At the Disco- especially their song Camisado. But I'm totally confused on what the meaning behind the words are. To me they're just a bunch of words together that make no sense. Can someone please help me out?

Thanks!

  1. I don't know what the word Camisado means but I think the song is about someone in the hospital, who was in a fight or something....I don't know, I'm getting all this straight from the lyrics, but there's probably some sort of deeper meaning...

  2. Like a surprise attack.

Ryan Ross (Guitarist) wrote the song about his dad that died.

  3. The whole song is about Ryan's ALCOHOLIC dad, who he didn't have a strong relationship with in his childhood. It may be a bit exaggerated- we're not sure- but basically it comes down to his dad's problems.

The lyrics, 'The IV and your hospital bed. This was no accident this was a therapeutic chain of events. This is the scent of your skin on the linoleum floor. This is the scent of quarantine wings in a hospital...' describes the scene of Ryan's dad in the hospital after he got hurt or had an overdose or got drunk and did something stupid or something along those lines.

Towards the end of the song, these lyrics, 'You're a regular decorated emergency. The bruises and contusions will remind me what you did when you wake. You've earned a spot among the ICU's hall of fame. The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again...' means that the bruises and marks left of Ryan after his dad got to him will always be a reminder of what he did to him. Furthermore, it generally says that Ryan's dad is an insane crackhead because he's in the ICU's hall of fame, and ICU means Intensive Care Unit. 'The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again,' describes Ryan's dad having a seizure or concussion or heart attack or some bad medical condition on those things that ambulances take people away with, which are called gurneys.

So there you have it. The meaning of the song Camisao by Panic At the Disco. If you have any more questions pertaining to the meanings of songs by Panic At the Disco, ANYONE feel free to contact and ask me.
