  1. According to the "gospel of America," everyone of every race, ethnicity, national origin,  religion, and political viewpoint can live together in harmony, as long as our laws are fair and properly enforced,  people are educated properly,  and the government doesn't pit one group against another.  So, according to this view, any conflict that does arise can be resolved with appropriate laws and other governmental action (or inaction), education, and government neutrality toward religions and ethnic groups.  Americans don't have to choose between their personal affiliations (religious, ethnic, language, political)  and their loyalty to America.

So, because every conflict can be solved in this way, there are no permanent conflicts, according to this view.
