  1. You know the one and most important thing that none of you guys mentioned? It is class. Roger is simply pure class and no one has that aura like he does. He carries himself with such dignity, grace and intelligence on and off the court and that is something every single player and person especially Rafa Nadal should look up to. No one does it better than he does. He is really just the most class act. Yesterday he said to Arevalo at the net "Good luck with your career, all the best! " the commentators were SO impressed but that is just one small example of such a classy man.

  2. TALENT!

  3. its not just the beautiful and technically flawless execution of the strokes, its the uncanny knack for PICKING the right shots...right shot at the right time AND place...

this combined with incredible consistency and analytical mind...

    equals possible GOAT!!!

  4. simplicity

  5. beautiful footwork. amazing shot placement and amazing, blistering forehands

  6. CAHONAS!!!!!

  7. He moves like a gazelle effortlessly that prevents him from falling into needless injuries. Quickness, court coverage, and he throws enough aces when in trouble. His mental toughness, a calm demeanor. And his opponent has a difficulty reading his mind, very rarely he shows vulnerability. Besides he is a tennis prodigy.

  8. Incredible shot making ability that he makes seem so effortless and flawless. And his footwork has always been the best in the game. You always hear the commentators praising him for his footwork when hitting a clean solid winner. He also makes winning seem so easy. Almost like he hasn't work up a sweat during the match. Other players are normally drenched with sweat from top to bottom after winning a match. With Roger, it seems like he is just getting started even though the match is finished and he has already won.

  9. Well, he has ugliness, that's for sure. Federer is an ugly skinny bugger. He's also the most arrogant, self-centered prick ever to curse the ATP tour. And he has a vulgar fat pig for a girlfriend. Even if he wins the Gold (because he had a ridiculous draw, and who cares about tennis at the olympics anyway), he will still be no.2 on Monday and will NEVER see the top spot again. His career is pretty much finished and I'm very sure he won't win another slam. And you can take that to the bank.

  10. Although he doesn't have a monstrous serve, he puts the serve beautifully and has one of the best forehands of the game. He hits the shot with grace when he was in his prime. He has improved the backhand this year, but needs to improve it even more. His backhand when he plays it well, it hits very similiar to Justine's backhand with great angles but in a Men's style.

  11. Holding the World No.1 ranking for Four n a half yr continuously....

    & Mirka(his good luck)

  12. its far from luck.

I think its a combination of his footwork and his strokes that makes him both a brillant tennis player and very aesthetically pleasing. Nadal may be physically the strongest and fittest on tour, but noone comes close to the beautiful shot making only Federer can do. These days its only on an on-day, but last year and the few years before he was like that consistantly. He was untouchable on both grass and hard courts and I believe, because of the beauty of his tennis, he may go down better than Sampras.

    So yeah... its beauty.

  13. Hi coolness. He has the potential of being a champion. Nadal doesn't suit to be a champion, it looks so weird even on the thought of it. A muscular aggressive champion (EWWW). So Federer suits best to be a champion. His style, his power, his potential.....he's a true champion.

  14. mirka.-

  15. If you look at his two rivals Djokovic has a smoothness and confidence in his game, he serves well comes up with great shots but he certainly seems to not have allot of endurance. Rafa, he has the shots, the quickness, the heart, the good footwork but he isn't totally consistent . Federer has everything these two do AND don't have. His game is complete artistry, he has elegance, quickness, poise, smoothness, beautiful footwork, drive, heart and confidence. Of course he makes those sick shots, he might not have a smasmouth serve but it's solid and steady and it goes wrong, which makes it hard to read. Unlike his rivals he also has endurance and consistency. Federer is also a very intelligent player, he conditions his body correctly and that's why you never see him injured or just looking tired in a match. Above all that the guy is completely classy, look at the guy he played in the second round of the Olympics, I can't think if his name I believe it's Arrevalo, but anway the kid tried to throw some things at Fed but he always had the answer and even after it all Fed gave him compliments and even the announcer noted he's always so gracious. Federer is a player who has so much variety in his game and he's willing to change things up to suit the surface and that's why he keeps doing well on every surface. It's not luck, it's just pure natural ability and talent.

  16. Shot placement, and BRAINS! He knows exactly where to place that ball.

  17. good tennis brain

  18. confidence (even though its lacking currently) and the best footwork in the game... the best precision out there,  the best forehand in the history of tennis a reliable slice backhand a sublime topspin backhand a smart well-placed and reliable serve the best anticipation in tennis beautiful stab volleys but mostly its his footwork that allows him to do all of this... his movement lets him always be in a good position to win

  19. a big nose :P hehe

Nah he can just hit any shot and his movement is amazing. In saying that not all players ``dream of it`` i mean look at Rafael Nadal he is just as good, improved sooo much he can practically hit any shot in the game and his movement is perfect, just different style from roger. I think what the difference between Nadal and Roger is fed hits many more aces lol

I disagree with you Kait, come close to rogers shotmaking?! Have u heard of  Nadal he can equally hit the ball anywhere on the court just as federer. Roger is a different style but not a better player than Rafa. Federer is more elegant in his movement very light around the court, and well Rafa is more manly lol chases every ball down etc is heavier on his feet..... but there is nothing between the two when it comes to fantastic shot making!!! The only difference is Roger`s serve he can do the cheap points like aces whereas Nadal very rarely gets a cheap point, he should work on that in saying that Rafa has improved his serve and does play more up the court just look at what he did at the French open in the final, he wasnt rallying from the baseline he was taking it to federer and being very aggressive up the court, im sooo glad he`s worked on that because its vital if he wants to beat roger on hard.

Kait u say something people dont like and u get thumbs down its soooo mean :( :( :( lol !!! I can understand what u mean though now, i thought you meant like Roger was the only one in the game who can come up with the shots lol! I was like nooooo some of Rafa`s are pretty outstanding aswell. I find Roger to be much more elegant with his shots, thats the only way to explain it for me if that makes sense. All i no is when those two play breath taking tennis is produced.

  20. federer has the title of being the best tennis player in the world and the title of the king of tennis.  the other players only hope to dream to have that title

  21. All that money/career earnings!! LOL

  22. He has far and away the most beautiful game to watch. Nadal has a very physical game and uses his movement and fitness well. Djokovic is a very smooth hitter but neither has anywhere near the creativity of Federer. Nadal's sheer dogged consistency and Novak's precision are admirable but Roger has an artistry to his game that is missing in the games of his two key rivals. He has an inate ability to create and an aesthetic quality to his game that no coach could possibly teach. Even if he does not end his career having won the most Majors of all-time, he is still the greatest, most gifted player I have ever seen.
