What does GPRS mean on the black berry peal mean?

I think the network for the blackberry is down?? Anyone know? I havent had the internet all day? I kow when I do it says EDGE in all caps. Well mine now says gprs in lower case. What does that mean? Is the network down? DOes anyone have any information. T hanks!

I would call at&t. It is the technology the phone company uses it does sound like the services are down if you are in FL, maybe it is because of the weather.

Your cell tower is having problems or you are out of range.  GPRS signal allows you to get phone calls but not data.  But rather than asking us what's going on, how about calling your cell provider and asking them if they are having a system outage?
