I've heard this a million times in songs and whatnot, and my friend and I are trying to figure out what it means. She think's it has something to do with drugs or getting high and so do I, but maybe we're stupid. So help us out please.

What does it mean?

  1. I think you mean "I got five"-- it means you're willing to pitch in $5 for the weed that's about to be bought. Like, someone would propose going out to buy a sack, and you'd say, "I got five on it."

  2. I've never heard that.  Are you sure you don't mean "I'm on fire?" That means I'm hot, I'm on a roll, I can't miss, etc. :)

  3. Yeah, I googled it, and didn't come up with much.  Some people are saying they are on five medications.  Other people are playing or singing on five tracks of a cd.

When I first read your questions, I was thinking "on five"  being related to "take 5"  like take a 5 minute break.  Maybe people are talking about taking a break?

  4. Do you mean "I'm on fire"? It means I'm excited, or I'm full of energy. I've never heard of being "on five".
