What does Jazz dance consist of?

I know what the style of music is- but how do you dance jazz??

Rent the movie Cabaret and you'll get a really good idea of what jazz dancing is. There are several movies with jazz dancing. I used to take tap and jazz and I had a blast!

Its really best if you just join a dance studio and take private lessons.

You need a lot of power and strength to dance jazz. Ballet technique is a must if you want to get anywhere big with it. Here are a couple of examples of jazz dancing ..
