He says one way to increase revenue is to reduce pork. I haven't heard him mention any other ways to increase revenue so I was gonna see if you folks have have any idea of how he will increase revenue. I was thinking he could use his celebrity to land some more movie roles plus using his disability check to help pay off the 9 trillion dollar debt.

  1. Congress ...you know the people who control the bills and the national debt...yeah those guys....they are compiled of mostly democrates...they are the ones who get in the way and decide what bills will actually make it to the floor....you should read some of the bills that handed money over to special interest groups ...3 million for the study of bears...and there DNA...also jelly fish and their migration......another 3 mil.....Abortion Funding...& research.... ...please Bush has nothing to due with the total deficit except for supporting our troops in this war that was voted on by the Dem's....which by the way ...they supported the war in Iraq..but didn't want to go completely al out on them so we had to compromise our strategy ..that's why Colon Powell resigned.....so Bush never said ...well you should have Just let us go all out ..it would have been quick and decisive  ...instead it's being drawn out...and bush is man enough to not point fingers....Yes money is being dumped into the war because our soldiers & there Families deserve it.......But it could have been avoided it the Liberal Dem's would have not been wishy washy...and made a clear commitment....

  2. He will do what is unavoidable, increase Taxes.

There is no other way to get out of the hole the country is in.

40 Million $ a day in Iraq for example has to come from somewhere.

  3. by increasing business activity which will increase tax income for the government even at lower tax rates.

  4. Don`t you know cutting taxes creates revenue. lol

  5. increase taxes and fees on the middle class. that's what he means.

welcome to the real world politicians all lie ,it's part of the job description

  6. My calculations tell me go figure! But revenue means Business, so maybe he is refering to an increase of P/E ratio. Again, go figure!!

  7. He means if we stop spending 3 billion on a bridge for 50 people that the money could go against the deficit. We spend more on Junk pork projects than anything else in some of these spending bills.

  8. The biggest way to increase revenue is to implement a tax structure that does not demonize, but instead encourages corporate investment in our economy...thereby creating jobs and increased consumerism...which puts food on everyones table.

  9. it means to gain a competitive advantage !

John MCCAIN was never in a movie!

Its not his 9 trillion dollar debt.. its the terrorist!! from 911 we are just protecting our country! that cost money! would you rather be invaded by more and more terrorists?... if so go ahead vote for Obama BIn laden!!

  10. Taxes. The fact is that the last eight years have more-or-less left the country bankrupt. We owe so much to China we'd better hope they don't call the loan.

The first taxes might come in the form of "user fees" and other gimicks, but sooner or later Congress will be forced to increase taxes.

That said, remember that the last tax increase (it mostly affected rich people) came early in the Clinton administration. The Dems lost Congress because of it, but we wound up with the largest budget surpluses in U.S. history (in real dollars!)

After eight years we're left with the biggest deficit in U.S. history -- by a large margin.
