What does N/A mean and what is it used for?

"Not aplicable".  means, does not apply to the question or situation presented.

It means "not applicable."

Not applicable.  Generally it's filled in on forms when a question doesn't apply to you.  For example, if a question asks for your gender, and you're somehow neither, you could answer 'N/A'.

its like when you are filling a form out or something of that nature and it askes for a email (lets say you dont have one, so you put N/A)

It usually means "not appicable."  If you're filling out a questionnaire and a question doesn't apply to you, you can wirte "N/A."
