What does Obama mean when he says Sticks and Carrots?

I will take no options off the table if Iran bombs Israel. So does this mean he would send sticks and carrots to Iran? I am not a Harvard Graduate however it seems that this is another evasion to a question from an Israili news reporter. Can Obama actually answer a question with an intelligent answer or does he always avoid the questions unless it deals with rhetoric?

  1. he using an idiom referring to when a person does what you want you reward them (carrot) and if they don't you punish them (stick).

So what he was saying if Iran plays by the rules or stops nuclear proliferation make it in there interest by rewarding them for there peaceful choices (trade I assume) and if they don't play by the rules then use military force (stick)

So my question is if you don't understand someone because of your lack of knowledge why assume they are evading the question

  2. Obama has mastered the ability to not answer questions.  He manages to dodge questions with non specific answers.  Stick & Carrot is a perfect example.  It suggests that he will offer incentives to Iran as long as they're being good boys, but can withdraw these incentives in the event Iran goes off coarse.

I'd love to see this moron go and sit with Ahmadinejad with this proposal, he'd get laughed right out of Tehran or where ever he happened to be at the time.

He still sees himself as a neighborhood coordinator, only this time it's Iran that he wants to re-arrange !

Wesley Clark must have taken a cabbatical because it doesn't look like Obama has another military handler who he can parrot !
