What does Ontario's flag represent, like what do the specific emblimbs mean?

like the leaves or the red how bout the british flag in the corner what do theese things represnt?

please dont copy and paste somthing long form wikipedia or somthing i'd like it if you could give me a real answer.

  1. Well the "Union Jack" in the corner is supposed to represent Ontario's link to the UK.  The red cross on the shield looks like the cross of St George but I don't know why it is important to Ontario nor what the leafs are supposed to represent.  The leaves could represent the link to Canada I suppose and lastly your guess is as good as mine as to why it is on a red background.

    I assume that the Ontario government web site must have something on it but following your instructions I didn't look and these are my best guesses.


  2. Ontario's flag is red with the Union Jack in the top left corner. This stands for their relationship with Britain. On the right side is the shield. On the shield is the cross of St. George which again shows ties with Britain. Underneath this are three golden maple leaves from Canada's symbolic tree. Green and gold are Ontario's colours.
