What does Ortho K feel like?

Okay, so next month, I am getting those contacts that you wear at night (Ortho K.) and since they're pretty expensive, my dad says that I have to wear them even if they hurt really bad. So when you first start using them, what does it feel like? Is it really painful, like my dad is trying to make me believe? Is it really hard to fall asleep with them on? Can you feel them?

Have you ever worn contacts? I don't know if you currently wear contacts but I do and it takes a really long time to get used to them. It took me a year of taking an hour each day to put them in. Seriously that is how long it took me but I was determined not to wear glasses. I do not wear the ortho K I take mine out every night but sometimes I do fall asleep with them on and when I wake up my eyes are dry. Contacts do not hurt as your dad says but when you first get them they can be uncomfortable until you get used to them.
