He needs to do what he did last time, but this time he really needs to want it. And he needs Floyd to persue him.

If he really wants to win he has to replicate what he did in the first 4 or 5 rounds, and thats jab his way inside and pin mayweather on the ropes and hammer away at his body, he is to quick upstairs so land some clean punches where you could.  He has to apply relentless pressure and be fast on his feet, have rallies on the ropes and then use his jab and win the rounds, but i dont htink he will do it b/c he is too old and lost his jab in the second half of their last fight, so i think mayweather wins by UD.

Two things.  1.  Bring a bat in the ring.  

2. Oscar would have a puncher's chance to beat Floyd.  However, I think Floyd will beat him more decisively because he's closer to natural at welter.  Oscar has lost a step at this point in his career.  

In the first fight he made mistakes that a novice would make.   Oscar ASSUMED that, because he's the bigger man that Floyd would simply fold as soon as he puts the pressure.  When Floyd DIDN'T fold Oscar didn't have a plan-B.  He also allowed his intense dislike for Floyd cloud his judgement.  IT showed in his performance.  

I would rather see Floyd fight Cotto and Oscar fight Trinidad again.  Mayweather - De La Hoya will only be another boring fight with little action.  We get to see both brag and show how much money they have and will earn.

Count stats dont work. unless they surgically implant sensors into boxers bodies and have a computer count the times a boxer gets hit.

There is a lot of money to be made in boxing, and as long as mr public pays to see fixed boxing matches, everybody is happy.
