I am in the military, served one tour in Afgn. and two in Iraq and there is no way in h-ll I can vote for McCain. Patriotism is a word that those "People with IQ's over 100" use to vote for a guy who thinks Bush was right about everything he did.

  1. As a veteran, I can only answer your question by saying you were doing your job.  Now, if by doing your job did not promote patriotism in you then that is your business and you should provide your vote to the Democrats that could care less about you as a veteran.  In contrast as you may have heard recently, McCain has voted against veterans bills recently, but why?  It is because there was added pork to these bills that he could not support.  Not to sell Bush and McCain but look at the alternative.

  2. You have a right to have your wrong opinion, but I respect your service in the military.

  3. My IQ is 140 and I have concluded that the word patriotism is almost certainly a buzz word. It just means you love your country and almost everyone has that, so as such it should be made redundant for a mixture of abuse and that there are so many better words to use.

  4. Patriotism is the word that the conservative right uses to guilt someone into their way of thinking. You aren't patriotic if you oppose the war in Iraq, you aren't patriotic if you don't support this president, you aren't patriotic if you disagree with torture or trampling the Constitution. It has been used for 8 years right along with fear on the American people. In the words of Barack Obama "ENOUGH"

  5. So you are ok with having somone in the white house who is a communist and goes against the constutition and has a wife who hates this country rather than someone who has served it and has children serving? Despite what all liberals want you to think, McCain isnt Bush.

  6. It's not patriotism, it's SUPERPATRIOTISM:

  7. That's like asking what money has to do with a bank.

If you want to vote for someone who doesn't give a f*ck about the country, fine. But I prefer to use my brain.

I urge you to free yourself from the Liberal koolaid and think "Should I vote for someone who cares about my freedoms and rights or vote for a hypocrite who really doesn't care what happens as long as he is president?"

  8. Thanks for serving in the military.  You are a true patriot!

  9. the right wingers use it every 4 year, there cowards that hide behind the american flag and chant it with no meaning.

  10. Patriotism is another over used word.

  11. the reason why this election is about patriotism is because obama is black, they think african american doesnt love this country as much as white. WHAT THE FUDGE  did i just said.
