What does Q3 2008 Mean?

When you search for video game release dates sometimes the date is not set. It will say, for example Q3 2008. What does this mean?

it means the 3rd quarter of that year like Quarter 3

Q1 = Spring

Q2 = Summer

Q3 = Autumn

Q4 = Winter

this is what i could find:

"Q1 is January to March.

Q2 is April to June

Q3 is July to September

and Q4 is October to December"

&

"Q = 1/4.

Year = 12 months

(12 months)(1/4) = 3 months."
