  1. For some reason there is no train service between two stations, so you take a bus from one station to the next. which usually calls at intermediate stations along the way.

  2. The train service is suspended (probably due to weekend track repairs) and a replacement bus service will operate between the points where the train is suspended.

Effectively it means that you get on a bus at the Stratford upon Avon railway station, and it will take you to connect with the train at Leamington Spa railway station. The train will be waiting for the passengers coming off the bus.

The bus follows the train schedule, but the journey usually takes a little longer than the direct train journey.

This is a fairly common arrangement when the rail system is being repaired at weekends.

  3. the train cant take you on the full journey so

a bit will be done by bus.!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. It means a Bus which is paid for by the Rail Company that will transport you from the Station to next station that the trains start up from again due to a number of factors.

It does mean extra time to complete your journey, but this will be factored into the timetable and a train will wait at the Bus termination point unless seriously delayed.

I have fun tonight when I am at work seting up our station to cater for a replacement Bus as well as doing all my other normal duties.

  5. the track is blocked.

  6. Get a rail ticket. But part of your journey will be on a bus!

  7. Train lines being worked on, so they lay on a bus for you around the works.

i.e. You pay train rates for a bus ride!

  8. Announcements will be made on the train.

  9. The buses are supplied, they take you from one station to the other. They use them when they are working on the line.

  10. There will be buses laid on to take you onwards as there is line work being done up here.

  11. Engineering works will close the line so a bus is put on to take you to your destination by road.  Yes, it goes to the station.  Don't sweat it, it happens somewhere every Sunday!!

  12. it means the train has been cancelled and has been replaced by a bus
