  1. Sounds like you're Aussie, mate!

Australia's Bureau of Meteorology actually uses this terminology in their reports[1]

    From the RSPCA's site[2]

Take Heed Of Sheep Weather Warning

    Wednesday 3rd January 2007

With a severe storm expected to hit the State’s south, the RSPCA is urging farmers to take heed of sheep weather warnings and take steps to limit the impact on livestock.

The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of a risk of sheep or lamb losses, with heavy falls, cool temperatures and local flooding forecast.

RSPCA spokesperson Emma-Jane Morcombe is encouraging farmers to take action to protect stock, before the storm hits.

“Livestock should be moved to higher ground, preferably into a bush paddock where the animals can take refuge from the worst of the weather,” said Ms Morcombe.

“This is simply good farm management, and we expect most farmers will have already begun moving sheep to safer pasture.”

Producers who plan to take no action to avoid unnecessary losses or intend on waiting until stock are at risk from flooding, are being advised to think again to help avoid a tragic outcome for their stock.
