I am new to this archery deal. I got a Golden Eagle for my birthday, and so far, I have got it equiped for this season. Need a few thing, but not many.

But, I always hear about this single cam technology for bows, and I have no idea what it means. Everyone that I have asked about it doesn't seem to know neither. I was hoping that there would be someone here that can help me. That would be great, Thanks.

  1. The single cam technology is a bow that has one power cam and  one idler cam , or rather a round wheel cam- this is supposed to be a system that rarely if ever get's out of tune.

The older system was a two cam system that was harder to keep tuned up.

The newest system is a hybrid of the single cam and the two wheel cam called a cam and a half system- supposedly they are tied together with a system that doesn't allow them to get out of tune with each other. There is really not an advantage to be had by either system. The new bows are all grade A. Easy to use, and sweet to shoot.
