  1. In addition to olive oil and wine (don't forget the occasional white, also: cava (Spain's answer to champagne) and Sherries)  There are a few really good clothing designers coming out of Spain.  Furniture design from Barcelona.  Leatherworks from the South, and ceramics.

They make some of the best ham there: Sarrono and the even better Iberico, but they don't export a whole lot of it.  Saffron.  Spain is the largest producer of Saffron in the world.  Also: other spices like paprika and cinnamon (not in huge numbers, I'm sure).  If you want to know more about the handicrafts they make there, but don't necessarily export:

Ceramics...different styles are made in each region.  Leatherwork, esp in Cordoba.  Damascene work in Toledo (they export this), baskets in Avila.  Try the Spain websites.

Unfortunately, most of the handiwork that we saw on my recent trip (first time in many years), seemed to be more machine made and even made in China.  So sad...

  2. import: oil, cars

export: olive oil, other agricultural products

  3. spanish economy imports   foreign unskilled workers, and exports  skilled workers to Uk ,

But they produce  olive oil, red wine, canned  food.

they IMPORT    evrything else,   remember spain has the biggest account deficit in the whole Universe as a percentage of the GDP, so  THEY import  anything from  everywhere.

    google  this

"hecho en españa"  made in spain and see what you get!.

    other  keywords

    "manufacturas españolas"

    "productos españoles"

    "vinos españoles"

    "empresas exportadoras españolas"
