  1. It's a natural anti-depressant.  It's supposed to be as good as Prozac.

    It has side-effects too, just like prescription drugs.

    I've used it before, but didn't notice any reduction in my anxiety symptoms, but that was me.  You might react in a positive way.  Try it & find out.  I have the PDR Guide to Herbal Medicine, and it states that St. John's Wort is used for treating depression and anxiety.

    Now be careful though, because herbal supplements like St. John's Wort can interact with some prescription medications.  If you take any prescription meds, ask your doctor or pharmacist if it's okay.


  2. He must be one of the Saints still unrecognized be the Catholic Church. I bet, that he did become famous for taking the warts off (from his followers).

  3. It acts as a weak SSRI medication, so yes it can affect anxiety. The problem is, it's not very good, and the active chemical in it mucks with a whole range of liver enzymes and cause some rather bizarre interactions with other medications.
