  1. Suki desu means " like "( it is Japanese ). For example, Watashi wa Stephy ga suki desu, means I like Stephy.

  2. 好きです (suki desu) is a polite way of saying "I like you."

好き (suki, pronounced more like "s'ki") = to like / to be fond of

です (desu) = what's called a "polite copula"

  3. like

  4. 'Suki' is to like and 'desu' is simply a polite way to end a sentence.

Suki is pronounced as 'ski' and desu as 'des'.

To say 'suki desu' doesn't really make sense, unless you were pointing at something... but it's not very proper.

Normally you'd say  [something] ga suki desu.

To say something is your favourite you'd say  [something] ga daisuki desu.

E.g.  chokoreeto ga suki desu.  (I like chocolate)

I think that made sense...  hope it helped!

  5. I like you.

Can be used in a romantic confession time!

You say "suki desu" (pronounced 'ski des') to someone you have a crush on. Then it can mean "I love you." "I'm in love with you".

But that's only for the first time. It cannot replace other "I love you"s (among couple, family, etc.)
