What does Transfer Monitoring mean?

when i log in to view my Finacial Aid status it says I have one hold that will stop me from recieving Finacial Aid from my college. THis is how it looks exactly.

  1. Did you just transfer in? If so then Trina is right. If not contact your financial aid department.


  2. As well as your transfer credits, this also means that your financial aid office looks as your aid history from school to school. They make sure that you are not receiving loans/grants at a school other than theirs since you can not receive aid at 2 instituions. They will then decide how much aid you're eligible based on how much you used at your other school.  

  3. It means they are looking at the credits you transferred in from another college. If you took a lot of credits at your previous college you may have run out of "timeframe" the number of credits finacial aid will pay towards your degree. Once you go over, you end up having to pay for credits out of pocket.
