  1. The 'Blinds' in poker are the first bets to get the pot started, the person immediately to the left of the dealer has to put in a small blind bet without seeing his cards and the next player has to put in the big blind. In this case that would be 100/200 chips.

  2. as far as I can recall, Blind means you haven't seen your cards .. so to others that haven't seen theirs either, they match your stakes of 100. If however they have peeked, it will cost them 200 to play

  3. it just means how much the small blind and big blind have to bet before cards are dealt. Sort of like an Ante. Small blind starts the bid at 100 and the big blind [player directly to small blind's left] starts the bid at 200. After cards are dealt, the player directly left of the big blind can fold, or raise the bet, or call the 200 that the big blind already bid. When betting reaches back to the small blind [player who started the bid at 100] if no one has raised the bet, in order to play the cards he was dealt he would have to play another 100 to match the 200 the big blind had started the bid with earlier. it's called a blind because you're placing a mandatory bet before knowing what cards you're dealt. you're placing a blind bet.

  4. At the start of every hand in Holdem the player to the left of the dealer is forced to make a bet equal to the small blind and the player to the left of him/her is forced to make a bet equal to the amount of the big blind.  As a rule the big blind is double the small blind.  The bets are called "blind" since the players must make them without knowing what hand they are betting with since these bets are made prior to dealing the hand.

After the cards are dealt players in turn may "call" the big blind bet, fold, or raise it so it's like a regular betting round only the first bets are made by the blinds.  Once the play comes around to the small blind he/she may add to the chips they already bet to call, and then the big blind may check if no one has raised, call if somoeone has, or even raise himself.
