What does a 16 year old girl have to do to get emancipated from an alcoholic mother who beats her?

Call child services. But you'd be better staying in a foster home than getting emancipated. It's weird living with strangers, but it's a lot nicer than spending every hour you're not in school working to pay rent and buy ramen. Or worse, dropping out of school and working minimum wage for the rest of your life.

look elsewhere for a solution - talk to a trusted adult at school. if you are being beaten, they will know how to get you immediate help and that help will help you with a longer term solution too.
