If a non-EU citizen is offered a part-time job with a small stipend under the term 'beca de trabajador' in Spain, does this allow them to legally pursue other work outside the part-time job (as in, does the company 'sponsor' them to give them working papers, or are they limited to just that one job? The options offered were to work one or two years. Thanks in advance!

  1. generally NO!  one hv to stick to that one job.  any other job is not official and done on the quiet. it may jeopardize one's status if caught by the authorities. this is rather rare but it can happen.  one can try to study during this period so that at the end of the 2yr period, extension of stay maybe allowed, considering the fact that the person is making efforts to improve and assimilate into eu society.

so it depends on your qualification and diligence.  goodluck
