I've recently lost a package i sent via USPS. I have sent in a lost item description form and I heard they will forward that letter to every post office who might have handled my package and hopefully find the package but it's taking too long and I still havent received any information about my item. I am planning to fill out a complaint form but I dont know what that will do for my package. What will the complaint form do for my lost package?

  1. There are no longer any hard copy forms for making inquiry about a lost package, nor for making complaints. These activities are done online now.

A report can be made about a missing package, no sooner than 14 days after the date of mailing. You can do that here.

If you were given a form to fill out, you were done a disservice. As I said, the paper form was made obsolete more than 2 years ago.

If you wish to contact the USPS about a problem, or to make a complaint, you would do that here.
