I personally like Azureus, though I couldnt give two s***s about the vuse stuff. Ive used Utorrent and Bittorrent and have got the best download speeds with Azureus. Ya the safeness of the torrent depends on the quality. Try and stick with release groups like Reloaded, Hatred, Loading, Axxo are usually the best and safest.

its probably the best torrent client available. its free, and a very powerful piece of software specifically for downloading torrents.

Its safe to run, but the material you download with it may or may not be, depending on what your sources are.
