Question:

What does a Wal-Mart greeter get paid to do?

At our Wal-Mart the greeter does nothing---I mean not even a hello (depending who's on duty) Before they used to greet you, grab you a cart and clean off the carts when they were wet. Now all they do is throw some towels out and you can clean it yourself if you want . Has anyone else noticed how they've gone down hill? Or am I just the only one that doesn't enjoy untangling carts?

  1. To ensure that suspicious people do not steal.  They will ask you for your receipt if they think you have sticky fingers.

  2. Ha! You are completely right. I dont think Walmart greeters do a thing! They get paid for doing nothing. All they do is sit back and watch people. What a life.

  3. mmm yeah ive noticed that they just stand there at the door.

    its not cool.

  4. At our Walmarts the greeters have never done anything to do with the carts. There are people who do that. The greeters hand out the Walmart flyers to people walking in and that's pretty much all ours do.

  5. Who cares? Walmart pays them below minimum wage, (because walmart is the devil), and their retired most of the time. Paying them $500 a month out of walmart's vast billions can be like their civil service.
