Question:

What does a bump on my hamster's tail mean???

It is a boy. He is around 1.5-1.7 years old. He is a blach bear hamster. The bump looks like a pimple sort of if that makes sence. It has this like white thick looking stuff about a mm. big coming out, as if a pimple has been poped.PLZZZ help i love him dearly. :'(

  1. I would bring your hamster to the vet because it could possibly be a tumor (if it's the case, then the tail can easily be amputated and your pet will continue to live happily).

    Hamsters have a lifespan of 2-3 years and it's not uncommon for them to get non tumorous growth in the last year.


  2. OH kid!!! take him to the vet!! it might be a tumor or a zit its better to be safe than sorry!! so.... take him before it gets worse(it might be a tumor!!)

  3. You know,it could be just a pimple ,it could be something more serious.But really,what can you do about it?Just leave it alone  and make sure it's kept clean.I had a dear black bear hamster. Daisy died at 2 years of age which I think is the average for hamsters.Just enjoy her while you have her and do not worry.
