  1. I had a first class medical exam back in August.  It is a "simple" physical.  You must have it done with a doctor who is qualified to give the first class medical.  Your height and weight get recorded, you have your eyes checked, provide a urine sample, have your blood pressure and resting heart rate/pulse checked, and when you begin your discussion with the aerodoc, he or she will ask you questions such as what type of (if any) medications you are taking, any complications you may have had in the past, etc.  It is nothing to get alarmed at...the doctor should be very encouraging.  His purpose is to make sure that you are safe and fit to fly.  Good Luck!
